When a storm tears through Moravia and shingles start peeling off the roofline, you need a crew that picks up the phone and shows up — not a call center that puts you on hold.
Roof Repair Smedway didn't start as a franchise looking for a market to plant a sign in. Our crews trained on real tear-offs, real ridge vents, and real attic inspections in Moravia, NY before we ever put a truck on the road under this name.
Licensing and insurance aren't a line item we mention once and forget — we keep documentation current and available on request, because a homeowner signing off on a Commercial Roofing project deserves proof, not a promise.
A patched flashing that leaks again in eighteen months costs a homeowner more than the first repair ever saved. That's why our Commercial Roofing crews follow manufacturer specs on every nail pattern and every underlayment overlap, not just the visible parts.
Every lead technician carries current state credentials before stepping on a ladder.
A tarp-down call at 2 a.m. gets the same urgency as one at 2 p.m.
You'll see the number before any work starts, not buried in a final invoice.
Local crews already know the weather patterns and permit offices in Moravia, NY.
Most roof failures don't happen overnight — they build quietly for months before a homeowner notices the ceiling stain that finally forces the issue.
If your downspout discharge looks like sand, the UV-protective coating on your shingles is breaking down faster than it should.
Cupped shingles trap moisture underneath instead of shedding it, accelerating rot in the decking below.
Visible light through the roof deck is a direct sign the barrier between your attic and the weather has been compromised.
A yellow-brown ring spreading across a ceiling almost always traces back to a roof leak, even if the leak point is several feet away from the stain.
Poor roof ventilation or compromised insulation from a slow leak can quietly push cooling costs up month over month.
Even one missing shingle can let enough water through to rot the decking underneath within a single storm season.
Not every roof problem calls for the same fix, which is why we scope each job individually instead of running every call through one generic estimate.
Emergency dispatch covers downed limbs through the roof deck, storm-torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingle sections that need immediate coverage.
Residential work covers shingle repair, full re-roofs, ridge and soffit ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing — whatever the house actually needs.
Flat and low-slope commercial roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water issues before they become structural.
Old, layered shingle systems often need a full tear-off rather than an overlay, and we'll tell you honestly which one your roof actually needs.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners a documented record for insurance purposes, whether or not a claim is ultimately filed.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general handyman work often gets wrong — our crews treat them as their own scope.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Moravia, NY.
A technician walks the roof, checks the attic side when accessible, and documents the damage with photos.
You receive an itemized, written estimate before any work begins, covering materials, labor, and disposal.
Warranty documentation is provided on completion for both materials and labor.
Response windows are communicated upfront, not left as a vague "sometime this week."
We'd rather lose a job over an honest price than win one with a lowball number that grows later.
Crews carry moisture meters, infrared scanners for larger jobs, and proper fall-protection gear on every site.
If something about the finished work doesn't meet the agreed scope, we come back and make it right.
We've worked with enough adjusters across Moravia, NY to know what documentation actually gets a claim approved faster.
If a repair is all your roof needs, we'll say so — we don't push a full replacement to inflate the invoice.
Every Commercial Roofing project closes with a written warranty covering our labor, separate from whatever coverage the shingle or membrane manufacturer already provides.
We also guarantee the estimate itself: barring a scope change you approve in writing, the number on your written quote is the number on your final invoice.
Our Moravia coverage area extends across Moravia, NY, and if your address falls just outside the standard zone, dispatch can usually still arrange a visit.
If a storm system moves through Moravia, NY and call volume spikes, we prioritize active leaks first and communicate realistic wait times for everything else rather than leaving people guessing.
